I’ve been waiting for this game Planetside for about two years. Finally, it’s released as Open Beta through FilePlanet. The open beta download is – get this shit – 1.33GB. I’m at 29% complete now…
Anyway, here’s some linky link for ya. Interesting stuff. My main concerns are a) will Sony fuck it up (can they beat EA and BF1942) and b) is it going to attract a lot of EverQuest freaks. Ugh. Worse than film students.
We could use a video game category, maybe…

That’s awesome though. I almost completely forgot about Planetside.
It’s times like this when I wish I was 12 years old and looking down the barrel of summer vacation.
Shows how much I have been outta the game loop. I never heard of it til now. Thanks for the Heads up. Even though I have never played Everquest not sure how I will take to this one either.
So not only do I need to download 1.3 Gigabytes, I also need to fill out a beta application and wait for some more crap from Sony. Hm…I thought my ‘subscription’ to FilePlanet got me through all this crap?
Do I blame Fileplanet for false advertising, or Sony for mucking around?
