…pretty much failed on the first attempt, which was to be expected for this run. I learned a LOT though, and I’m going to come back to it over the next few days/weeks until it boots to my satisfaction. It was really cool to actually go through the whole emerge/config/compile drill once as a dry run. Now that I know how it actually works, I’m a lot more confident that I can streamline the system. On that note, I’m going to be reading all the docs over, posting to the Sparc64 forums (nice people!!)and master this thing.

Linux and Autumn just kinda go together. Nothin’ like grabbing a cup of coffee, throwing on some ambient, hunching over printouts, and tapping away at the keys while it’s raining outside…
