ActiveX problems mean trouble for online ads
OK you Linux world domination freaks, here’s a morsel to brighten an otherwise rainy day for you. This article about Microsoft’s ActiveX technology and online advertising, while a bit extreme and fear-monger-ish, is interesting. Happy gloating! (As for me…make mine Mozilla)
GI-Joe?
Ok fella’s its another Monday morning. I stumbled across some of these funny GI-Joe commercials that someone has made. They are very amusing expecially this one: Click Here. There are a few others that are also pretty comicable. Here is the Site. Enjoy!

Open mouth – insert what?
Ok since I mentioned to you guys that I was approved into the ekkoBSD project, well um they have me doing somethings that I would have never even thought about doing. I have to help them build some config files for installing the OS. I was looking around and from what I have been reading, looks like I am going to have to hit up B&N again to add to the ever growing library of books. I have been looking at the O’Rielly Sed & Awk book, just because of the cool stuff you can do with awk on the system side of things. Not sure I will know what the hell I am doing, but at least the book may look good sitting on my shelf when I am done:) Will keep you updated on this!
Fear my Pink Line!!!
Probably need a gaming topic but this one is funny enough to qualify for “Humor”. Wanna know what kids (10-13) think about the games we grew up with? This one will make you feel old AND crack you up.

This is a virus. It has corrupted over 500 files on my machine. All of these files are executables. I need to basically wipe my machine clean and reinstall everything.
Note to self: install Norton Antivirus…
Why am I sweating. It’s October.
Can someone please tell Summer “thanks, but your job is done.” Bring in the vikings and the snowstorms, please. I just bought a new jacket and this screws up my whole cool new jacket mojo. 77 degrees today? WTF???
Workstation
Well it only took me 2 days, but my main workstation at home is running FreeBSD now. I had a few issues with the USB mouse and keyboard since they share a KVM switch, but with all the support I got from the forums, they were able to point me in the right directions. I am also running Fluxbox and Firebird which was rated the best *nix browser in the latest Linux magazine. This thing is sooo damn cool. Its nearly 1am and I have to wake up in 4.5 hours, but I am stoked. Now I can start adding all kinds of things.
