I find it completely not surprising that Adobe has jumped on the cool suffix moniker bandwagon by introducing their new line of CS products:

To better reflect the high level of integration among Adobe’s creative professional applications, “CS” is the new version denominator for Adobe’s professional design and layout tools. For example, Photoshop CS is the new, full-upgrade version of Photoshop (instead of Photoshop 8.0). Similarly, Adobe lllustrator® CS replaces Illustrator 11, InDesign® CS replaces InDesign 3.0, and GoLive® CS replaces GoLive 7.0. Adobe Acrobat® 6.0 Professional is the only creative professional application that keeps a version number denominator. Going forward, all of the CS products will always be upgraded on the same schedule.

MX, CS, XL, Xtra, DeLuxe, SuperSize…whatever blows your hair back, marketing dudes (this is where the Macromedia guys start throwing gum at the Adobe guys and chant “scoreboard! scoreboard!”)

temptation…. veon?

School’s out

This is pretty embarrasing, but it’s tech and it’s relevant and I figure you guys might get something out of it. I am going to drop out of my first freakin programming class cause I can’t hang. How much does that suck? I mean, there it is – absolute defeat. The stuff came on fast and heavy and I just couldn’t keep up. Now I have a midterm on Wednesday and there’s no fucking way, simply no way, I’m learning all that’s required. I am going to try again later this year, maybe — but for now C++ ain’t gonna happen for me. And I get to go in tomorrow after chewing on this and stressing out and losing sleep, and tell my boss and my coworkers the deal. (Good think Kaplan didn’t pay for it, but there’s also no refund to this sucker either).

It sucks and it hurts my pride and my ego and my self esteem, and there it is on the goddamn platter. My big slice of humble pie. Somebody get me a fork.
