EA Donates $8m to Californian University
Officials from Electronic Arts have announced that the company is donating $8 million to the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television. The donation will be used to create a three-year master’s degree program in videogame design and fund an endowed faculty chair.
The USC program is expected to begin during August and will initially accept fewer than fifteen students a year. Topics will include advanced videogame design, writing for games and creating multiplayer games, specialities that aren’t usually included in courses at computer-science departments.

I will do it for 8 million dollars
This reminds me of what Microsoft does for Universities throughout the country. Not a bad way to incubate talent. Given the current dominance held by EA, it’s important for them to mold these young minds in there own image. Teach them to use techniques, applications and styles that mime the real-world work inside their gates.
And yeah, I would do it for 8 million as well.
