Bacon
After receiving word that Rob had integrated a caching system into SB I thought I’d give it a whirl. Rob stated that the easiest way to test it would be to look for a post that probably hasn’t seen the light of day for a while, copy the link and then paste it into a fresh window to note the response time. Well, needless to say it’s fscking fast. If you’d like to try it yourselves… by all means. Ok, I’ve derailed. Let me get to the real point of this post.
As I was thinking of something to search for I thought, “I know! Bacon!!! Hell, I say, write, eat or think about bacon daily. There HAS to be a post with “bacon” in it!!!”
Well, sadly there wasn’t.
But there is now.

Yep. You read it correctly.
The Rock will be starring as the lovable, “Sarge” and Karl Urban (Eomer) will be playing “Grendel Grimm” a.k.a. me, in the October release of DOOM.
I’ll watch it… by myself.

While you’re happily building your computery stuff at work, why don’t you suck a little of your company’s bandwidth and watch the latest shuttle mission on Nasa TV. I’ve been watching since this morning, and it’s really techie and really cool. They say stuff like “Roger, check lima-alpha-six-niner for the delta hex detatchment unit, how copy?” when they are telling the guy to go grab a wrench.
After all, you paid for it…so why not watch it!
Stay Away from MS
Apparently, MS has implemented a new scanning technology ( Windows Genuine Advantage) to determine whether or not your copy of Windows is legal. Fortunately I DO have a legit copy of WinXP which I rarely use, but just the fact that they are pulling this shit and getting away with it…. pisses me off.

AIM More Popular than You
Another /. steal but had to post it.
Seems that you can now find out how much more popular you are against others in your buddy list by checking out, AIM Fight.
My understanding is that it counts the amount of connections that are associated with your name. Actually, that would make you more of an AIM whore than popular but… po-tay-toe, po-tah-toe.
Anyhoo… Joey, I don’t know your IM nick but I sure am more popular (is whorish a word?) than the rest of my fellow SB’ers!
