As per Pauls fun post about his latest spam, I must say these past 5 days I have been getting nearly 5-10 spams a day in my yahoo account. This exceeds my tolerance range as is NO longer acceptable. If they do not step up their spam controls I will be moving all my accounts to gmail. At least their anti-spam seems to work and I would even think a hotmail account would be far better then what yahoo has now.

Ya… I have a yahoo account but only for IM. I do NOT have an email account with them. I figure gMail can handle that and I have like 500invites for more accounts if I need them.
I saw move them gmail. but remember gmail never deletes anything from what I hear.
I’m moving over to gmail as my primary account for the very same reason. The spam on yahoo has gotten increasingly worse over the past few weeks and I just can’t stand it anymore. I’ve started changing everything over and figure it will take me a could few months to move completely. That being said, I’m a lot happier checking my gmail than yahoo mail.
Been using Gmail as my primary for about 8 months or so for everything but bills. The only problems that I had were the “server busy” messages that I posted about earlier. This is fixed by deleting the cache and the cookie and refreshing the page.
The spam protection is BULLETPROOF. I’d pay a subscription fee for this service.

Well…nix that last comment. As of 17:04 today I’m getting the server error message…and that’s after clearing the cache, killing all cookies and trying 2 different browsers. So, Gmail ain’t exactly bulletproof but it’s pretty solid.
And now it’s back up! So there ya go – it hiccups a little.
And Philly, you KNOW that Google is the next MS. I’m just putting my loyalties on the table now, so when the Google Secret Polizia come and raid my home and find my Hotmail account I can point to the humble SnowBrain and say “See! See! I LOVE the Goog! Take my first born, please!”

Of course Google is next to be Kinged, but to say Google is the next MS… I would say “God please help me”. If Google WAS like MS the internet would have been broken a long time ago.
