Bring it ON!!!! Pulling this bad boy down as I type. I’m psyched – excellent timing.

I was eyeing this last night at CompUSA (bad idea to go there on pay day, but that’s now water under the bridge). I picked up Call of Duty 2 and Battlefield 2: Special Forces (both for the PC) to satisfy a surprisingly sudden attack of video game fever…I think it’s the weather. Or all the Discovery Channel I’m watching. Or something.

Speaking of Activision releases…there’s supposedly a new Castle Wolfenstein in the works. Gee…ya think they might be using the Doom III engine for dev? ;)

May we be so lucky! I don’t know about you guys, but the last truly great shooter I played was Medal of Honor: Allied Assault – and that was closely seconded by the last release of Castle Wolfenstein. Half Life 2 was good, but it wasn’t epic. I need another epic game. CoD 2 is OK, but it ain’t no MoH.

    Thanks for the heads up!

Based on the extremely limited exposure that the demo provides, I’ll say that IMHO the single player mode is lacking…it’s probably not up to the gaming standards of Quake 2. The Arena play, however, is fast and furious, and I’m having fun with it. It might be worth picking up after the price drops a bit…

I still need a decent video card in order to be able to play this….Grendel?

Don’t worry Rob. Your not missing much…

Rob, I have a card here – but it’s not exactly cutting edge. You need a GPU with some serious horses inside if you want to run this like it’s supposed to be run.
