So i just went on my first geocache yesterday with said friends above, and it was a blast! We went to Maybury State park only 6 miles from my house and there was three there. Two single stage caches, and 1 four stage cache...the four stage rocked!

My friends gps unit is very modest. And her style of caching is a bit more challenging then I suspected it to be. We basically punched in the coordinates, and just started walking in random directions until we started getting close. The compass feature on her handheld was pretty latent...so we didn't even use it. I used my 'man sense' alot, and did pretty well by it:) We're gonna head out today and cache some more. I now have a total of 5 caches in 1 state. Trish and Bob have about 380 in 17 states!

Currently because of time and money the only place I get to GeoCache is my front yard and back yard. Where I find all kinds of neat little gifts left out by my son and daughter. Of course I don't exchange them for equal value. I take them and put them in the house. Hopefully before I run them over with the lawn mower. :)

rip - Nice work. I have been following along since you informed me you were going to do this. Sounds fun. Around my area nothing worth while to go after. However, within about 50 to 100 miles away from my city there are plenty. Good luck on the future caches.

Treasure hunting, the outdoors, exercise and technology. What a perfect combination!

Fill the caches full of yodels, and I'm there. :)
