Not sure if many of you know, one of my all time favorite bands is Alice in Chains. With the death of Layne Staley many never got the chance to see them live. Well apparently the remaining 3 members decides to start up a tour in tribute to the late Staley and their fans. When I first looked they where not touring anywhere close to my home town, but as of last week they added a ton of new dates and lucky enough they will be in Niagara Falls on 11/4/2006.
I missed the presale tickets by a couple days and now the general admission tickets go on sale this Saturday @ noon. So you can bet your ass, I will be online at 11:59.
Granted Laynes death was self induced but he has been labeled one of the best song writers and his voice was unique and powerfull. The vocals for this tour is William Duvall of Comes with the Fall. I have heard a couple tracks he has done and at times its eerie that he is almost at Laynes range.
So for those of you that enjoy Alice in Chains music, you may want to check out if they are landing in a city near by, for this is probably the last chance to ever hear their music live again.
Looks like I have to buy a lighter!!!

I really wish a would have been able to see Layne in concert but this is surely the next best thing.
They’re coming to my neck of the woods as well.

Damn. They’re playing two dates at the Nokia theater just next door to work in Nov – thanks for the tip! Till then I’ll have to settle for my tix to go see Mastodon…
