Well I know I mentioned in the previous post that I would be waiting to see what new phones come out… but that only lasted a few days. After reading numerous reviews and actually checking it out for myself, I ended up buying the Samsung Blackjack.

You will never know what you are missing until you actually find a phone that has all the bells and whistles like: Email, SSH, VPN, Media Player, Streaming Video and XM Radio.

I am still learning all the features that this phone has to offer and can’t believe all the programs that are available for the Windows Mobile OS. My options where the Cingular 8525 which gives you the PocketPC OS and Wifi… but to double the thickness and weight… not worth it to me. The other option was the Treo 680 but it doesn’t support the 3G network and I honestly did not like the OS before and still do not like it now.
Yesterday I read on Techdirt that Samsung was getting sued by RIM aka Blackberry since the Blackjacks name is so similar to the Blackberry they claim people are getting confused. Well sue all you want, you are just giving the Blackjack more free advertising. So if your thinking of creating your own phone someday, don’t bother calling it Dingleberry, you may get sued.

Congrats on the purchase. I have not seen the Blackjack (Hope i don’t get sued by RIM for saying Blackjack.. oops crap I said it twice. I bet I get double fined or something) in person but from the stats and the reviews it looks to be dang good. I’m not in the position to get a new phone but would have a tough time finding the right phone for me. It would be a toss up from the Sony Ericsson K790i, P990, BlackBerry Pearl, Samsung BlackJack, Tmobile Dash, and many out of the country branded phones.

Well I’m glad to see that you got a new phone that meets your needs and likes.
