Luzianne Coffee
The other day while I was at the grocery store I noticed a different brand of coffee that I have not seen before called Luzianne. I am sure theDarkStranger can add his 2 cents on this one. But this coffee is blended with Chicory (a plant). One of my previous coworkers told me about this a few years back but again I didn’t pay much attention to it. This coffee mixture of coffee and chicory was labeled as ‘The poor mans coffee’ since as the label states, you can get 20, 30 even 40 more cups from one container of their coffee.
So as soon as I got it home I brewed up a 1/2 pot and was surprised how dark it was, but I did not alter the amount of coffee used from my normal blends which is basically 1 tbsp per cup of coffee. Anyways I was very impressed with the different favors it had to offer and will be buying some more as soon as I run out and may have to hit up theDarkStranger to send me some different kinds from his neck of the woods.

Since I don’t drink coffee I have not seen this. However, I have heard of Luzianne plenty of times, but as tea. I’m not a huge fan of Tea either but some I can stand to drink. If you need me to hook you up on all the flavors I can do that. Luzianne is a southern thing so you may not have many flavors to pick from up north.
Glad you like the chicory! I discovered this brand whilst I was still living at home. Dogfish Head also makes a Stout useing chicory. If you really like the dark/sweet stuff, try making that cup a joe with a little dark molasses in it, as well as a bit of half-n-half…..shit tastes yummy!
Sooo, since I’m a internetiot at times I guess i can’t use the easy select link feature that is available on the post mode. These are the links I wanted to add to my comment…Cheers!

LOVE the Dogfish. A new Consumers opened up by us and they have a great selection of beers now. Plus they have 20 beers on tap which is beertastic.
