Quake 4 has been released as you all know.
While at idSoftware’s site I thought to myself, I wonder how long it would take to port to Linux.

Yup you read it right. ID Software’s QUAKE 4 has been confirmed as being finished. The release date will be October 18th.

I’m excited to see what this one will be like.

Well, back in the day it was nothing to waste away hours of fun playing Doom on a 386. Not to mention all the cool mods/hacks that where available, like: Beavis and Butthead sounds, Evil Dead sounds, the BFG shooting as fast as your machine gun… Ah those where the days.

Anywoo, id Software released the source code for Quake 3.
