If you guys read /. which I know we all do, you may have seen the post titled “Microsoft to buy Red Hat?”
Here is the link to the full article.

Anyways, regardless of the outcome this is another notch in my belt for my determination to use FreeBSD since they are not going to sell out to Billy. Granted I see both reasons for this but in my opinion, anything touched by MS falls to the wayside, kinda like MM buying out Homesite… they make it sound really good, then boom… lets deprecate that product since we took all the good stuff we needed. So if this happens, I will remove Fedora from my work machine and install “The Devil”.

Every once in a while it’s good to step outside your personal technological maelstrom and really take a look at yourself. I find this especially useful when I’ve discovered that for the past two weeks I’ve probably spent 100 hours building and destroying linux systems at will. Ok, ok I’ll be specific… GENTOO linux systems. (I don’t know what it is. I guess I’m a “ricer” and a closet-case masochist.) Anyway, after browsing around in search for God’s Gentoo install (he’s probably got it tweaked to perfection), I came across this site.

I guess it’s always good to laugh at yourself and the community of freaks you adore (as ignorant as they are). It stings a lil’ bit. But so does life.

Keep dreamin’.
